My journey into dog training didn’t start with a certification or a classroom — it started with my own dog. My dog Emelia was very reactive and this was a concern for me. I learned all I could by working with other trainers, with their guidance and knowledge I developed a better relationship with my dog and learned to meet her needs.

That experience became the foundation of everything The Proud K9 stands for. I left my job at VCA to peruse knowledge of dog training. Since, I’ve worked all types of behaviors - from Basic Obedience to Reactivity. I know every dog has their own story and every behavior has a reason. It takes patience, honesty, and genuine commitment to the animal in front of me,

I started The Proud K9 because owners who feel lost deserve real guidance. Dogs who’ve been misunderstood deserve a fair shot. And I believe that when you do this work with integrity, the results speak for themselves.

This isn’t just a business to me. It’s something I’m building with purpose — one dog, one family, one relationship at a time.
